Pyro the default mount in the game

The mount system is one feature of Eligium that I really like. Mounts will not only give you additional movement speed but will also give you stats which can grow as you level it up. I've seen some mounts that gives substantial hp increase that can go far above six thousand.
To acquire a mount, first you will have to reach level 20. Once you reach this level the quest "The egg of the pet" will be available. Complete this quest and you will get an egg as a reward. you need to equip the egg for it to grow into an immature mount. you will need around thirty to forty fives minutes for it to hatch.

When the egg hatched into an immature mount you will not be able to ride it yet, you need to grow it from immature mount to a mature one and for that you will need 10 senior magic powder. To get senior magic powder you need to get junior magic powder by disassembling blue or higher grade items level 20 and up.   You can find the disassembling menu by opening your bag or through merchant NPCs. Only weapons and armors can be disassembled. Crafting magic powder can be done by Mount Keepers from your designated faction.

One senior magic powder consist of 5 intermediate magic powder while one intermediate magic powder can be acquired by crafting 5 junior magic powder. You can feed your mount 5 senior Magic Powder at a time which means you will have to feed it twice before it matures.

Many players have asked me how to ride their mounts and the to answer that, you will automatically ride your mount once it matures. It will be a permanent fixture of you character except when you enter certain dungeons or when you transform into a wolf if your are an Illusionist. Though you wont see yourself on your mount the additional stats will still be there.


The mount system is a very good innovation of the game and the mounts are definitely good to look at.
