Eligium Ph is the new offering of Level Ph to all Pinoy gamers out there and is currently on it's CBT stage. The game is a MMORPG with very nice features I'd been hoping to see in other games of the same genre. To give you an example, the game features both a consignment and a vending option, you might think it is redundant but i played other games without the vending option and some players rant about not having one. on the other hand, some players want to sell items while hunting monsters so it's more convenient use the consignment. It is always good to have many options.
Another feature of the game that I'm so excited about is the mount system, in this game your mount acts like an equipment, it will give you extra stats (hp, mana) while boosting your movement speed. And isn't it great to ride your mount in and out of combat? Who says only Luna Moonfang and Mirana can have those cool rides while kicking some a**. Inside the dungeons you will not see your character mounted but you will still have the bonus stats which is a little of a downside.
When you have decided what your class will be, then comes the next question. What faction will you join? Eligium presents us with two rivalling factions, the Holy Kingdom of Sanctia and the Glorious Empire of Honorold. Either one of the factions you'll choose will give you the same privileges in game. You can not trade, mail or befriend other characters from other factions in short the only thing you can do is either kill or ignore a player you encounter from a different legion. There is also two separate consignment on each faction meaning items sold by a player from Honorold can't be seen on the Sanctia consignment and vice versa.
The game combat actions are decent looking but there are no sounds on some skills when you use them, the basic attack is the most noticeable example of this. Maybe Level up will fix this prior to OBT. Skills are acquired/bought from designated trainers for each different races and classes. Once acquired you can level up your skills by using them on a fix number of times. If the skill must be you used 100 times to level it up then you must use it to that effect in or out of the battle(sandbag training) to make that happen. Every skill has a limit of five levels, once it reaches that cap you can strengthen them by skill mastery through your designated NPC.
The downside of this game that i have experienced so far is that some monsters have very long respawn time, though these monster are often optional quest requirement, you can't deny the fact that they drop good loots which is very helpful for any player in building his equipment set. Pet Bobbi for an instance respawns every two hours. With four channels available at the moment, you have 4 chances of killing Pet Bobbi every two hours.
Overall Ithink the game is good except for those bugs ( what game hasn't?).I'm very excited for the OBT and I hope it will be sooner!
